A little bit about Kerry

Kerry Key lived in the Holderness area for the majority of her life. She had two children, one of whom was born prematurely, and was left with learning and physical disabilities. She was an avid advocate for the disabled, and those unable to care for themselves.

After being diagnosed with cancer, she channelled her energies into raising awareness of Breast Cancer, and assisting others who had been diagnosed, by supporting, motivating, and raising monies by fund raising events.

Kerry refused to be defined by her illness, and even though she knew what the outcome would be, she lived her life to the full, and continued to be an inspiration to those around her. She would never have described herself as being special or extraordinary in any way, but that is how others saw her.
